You can get pregenant anytime. The only 100% pregnancy protection is abstinence. Some people think that there is a "window" period, but no, you still can.

Generally a released egg can live for about 12-48 hours. If it is not fertilized, it will disintegrate. Everyone is different, however, so don't take chances and have protected sex all month, every month.

No, you can not get pregnant anytime. You can only get pregnant when you ovulate (release an egg). If your period is due mext week, then you ovulated already. You missed it for this month.
