After Dice-K just baffled my Tigers, I would say the underperforming, overrated journeyman JD Drew.

Wow, haters, Dice-K is not overrated, unless you know nothing about baseball. He is getting better with each start, he is adjusting to a different game ad he is coming along quick, he is 5-2, his ERA is dropping with each game and is just over 4, it will be under 4 after his next start. He is second in the league in wins, 7 in ininnings pitched, fifth in the league in strikeouts, he is averaging 6.5 strikeouts a game which is again near the top of the league, and he just threw a one run complete game against the Tigers who have a very good offense. His number are right up there with Santana and Halladay and he has a better record then both of them. Also, watch him pitch, he has nasty stuff and every game he looks better and better, if you really think he is overrated you know nothing about baseball. The signing of J.D. Drew on the other hand could be something the Sox regret, his injury he suffered last night shouldnt be to bad and he should be back pretty quick but time will tell how healthy he stays. Neither one can be considered a bad move, especially Dice-K, people just want him to fail because he is not on your team, well he is doing just fine, I mean he is doing better then any Yankees pitcher by far. Heck he is doing better then any ace for any other team in the AL East.

Dice-K was clearly a mistake. He is no superstar and never will be. JD (I'll never play in Philadelphia) Drew is a joke. He thinks he's Mickey Mantle but he's only JD Drew. Too bad! It's amazing what the Red Sox will do to get back at the Yankees. It's almost unnatural how the Red Sox hate the Yankees. It's sick!

No doubt, the chronically injured JD Drew. They threw $70 million at a guy that doesn't play hard after he gets a healthy paycheck and never plays to his perceived potential. Dice-K is winning games, Drew will rot on the DL.

Neither!! Dice-K has won his last four decisions, is 5-2 on the season, and will win twenty games before the season is over. J.D. Drew has already won at least a couple of games with timely hits. I like him batting behind Big Papi and Manny. He will do the job well. The season is mighty young, and both those players are first rate!!
Chow!!

it is somewhat early to call him a bust. specific, his final 2 video games have been tough. the 1st 4 video games confirmed that he could be a dominant pitcher. after all, 2 of his wins have been against the Yankees. suited now, he had ameliorations he has to make. he's in a distinctive league, united states of america, custom and team. there is likewise the language barrier that gets much less perplexing to circulate over the years. He additionally needs to have greater administration on his pitches. The pink Sox pitching coach and Varitek is doing a large job with their pitchers this year. purely look into Okajima and Beckett! cube-ok gets greater suitable by potential of July, if no longer faster.

cant say either! Dice-K was really brought in to keep in out of NYC, as most big time free agents are! I think he is the best #3 starter out there, over-paid, yes but solid! Drew, well he will produce and you will get what u expect, 20-25 HR's 85-90 RBI, .260-.285 AVG. I think they were both ok!

both acquisitions were pretty good ones in my opinion. alot of people say that dice-k is getting all of that 100 mil, when in fact he is getting half of it. the initial bid was just to bring him to the US. dice-k is getting paid less than barry zito, and i'd take matsuzaka over him any day.
as for jd drew. between hinske and pena, i didn't think we really needed to sign him to begin with. however, his contract was set up with his injuries in mind. the more time he spends on the DL the less he gets paid. simply because we didn't really need drew, i'd say that was the worse of the two, but i'd take either of them over alot of other players in the league.

to pay 51 million in addition to his contract is crazy. i think both are pretty bad. redsox have a pretty good team without either one, but dice-k probably gets them to the world series. so i would say JD drew.
BTW not a redsox fan.
