I have several I'd like to try.
One would be done using a motorcycle, a toothbrush, and a credit card. Go where I want, stop when I want, see whatever I want to.
Another would be a tour of the US west via airplane - otherwise, about the same as the first one.
Another would be to drop my kayak on the river across the street from me, and start paddling downstream until I got to Lake Michigan. The only problem is that I would need to spot a vehicle somewhere along the way somehow to drive home every day.
I'd love to go back to the Boundary Waters or Quetico again, too. I spent a great week there years ago.

I've never really had a perfect vacation, but my ideal one would be 2 weeks away from everyone and everything. Maybe on a So.seas island. ummm

I have always said that my favorite place is home. But my two favorite vacation spots are Catalina Island and South Dakota...deep in the woods in a cabin...with a hot tub and all the essentials for roughing it!!!
