Your misunderstanding is not about the big bang, it's about the word 'theory'. It doesn't have a single precise definition with consistent usage. The big bang theories are extrapolations into the distant past. We are more likely to find out that some point, those extrapolations are no longer valid. If you see a crowd leaving a football stadium, you can reasonably extrapolate back in time to where the crowd was inside the stadium. You need not assume that the crowd was once concentrated in just one cubic millimeter of that stadium.

Big Bang Theory, currently accepted explanation of the beginning of the universe. The big bang theory proposes that the universe was once extremely compact, dense, and hot. Some original event, a cosmic explosion called the big bang, occurred about 10 billion to 20 billion years ago, and the universe has since been expanding and cooling.

The theory is based on the mathematical equations, known as the field equations, of the general theory of relativity set forth in 1915 by Albert Einstein.
In 1922 Russian physicist Alexander Friedmann provided a set of solutions to the field equations. These solutions have served as the framework for much of the current theoretical work on the big bang theory. American astronomer Edwin Hubble provided some of the greatest supporting evidence for the theory with his 1929 discovery that the light of distant galaxies was universally shifted toward the red end of the spectrum. This proved that the galaxies were moving away from each other. He found that galaxies farther away were moving away faster, showing that the universe is expanding uniformly. However, the universe's initial state was still unknown.

In the 1940s Russian American physicist George Gamow worked out a theory that fit with Friedmann's solutions in which the universe expanded from a hot, dense state. In 1950 British astronomer Fred Hoyle, in support of his own opposing steady-state theory, referred to Gamow's theory as a mere "big bang," but the name stuck. Indeed, a contest in the 1990s by Sky & Telescope magazine to find a better (perhaps more dignified) name did not produce one.

It is a theory due to the fact that there is some scientific evidence of this occurance. It has happened in other solar systems, why not in ours? Please tell me you don't think so because of the theory of creation, which has not been tested but for some unknown reason is also taught in some schools. If you can find a person that can prove that God created the earth and planets (and man for that matter) instead of the big bang theory, or some other theory, I want to meet them.

i don't help the belief. As you're saying the branches of Physics, arithmetic, and topological astronomy besides as different sciences are just to lots to place all of it at the same time. remember the super bang is largely a concept and not a actuality! It can not be shown as a actuality! Even Hawkings can not come again to show 0, and he on no account will. the reason being he's calling for the commencing up. So, enable us to now positioned the super bang on the shelve for a minuet and enable us to take a glance on the expanse of the universe as continuously being there. not each and every thing it is in it. yet an expanse that has continuously been. we've a commencing element! an empty eternal expanse that has continuously been there. each and every thing interior the expanse we see in the present day has order This we call the universe. It keeps to amplify interior the eternal expanse. each and every thing follows each and every of the regulations of physics, and math. So purely how did the three dimensional universe as all of us realize it initiate? all of us understand from Einstein's formulation E=MC^2 that we are in a position to get power from rely. We additionally understand from Newton's regulation of physics that each and every action has an equivalent reaction. So, taking dynamic power one ought to create each and every thing and initiate the action of each and every thing created interior the expanse with order. is that this logical? sure! Is it actual? It must be because of the fact we proceed to locate extra approximately it applying the guidelines of physics and arithmetic. So this would open the biggest question of all, purely who or what created it? This my pal i'm going to depart as much as you to return to a call.

the big bang theory has plenty of evidence. You obviously have not researched this topic. The expansion of the universe is the biggest piece of evidence. It all has to do with math, it has been tested mathematically, and the universe has been observed, and all the compiled data leads to the big bang.

It is also the most logical solution to the creation of our universe. There hasn't been a better idea to replace the big bang.

You don't understand the scientific definition of theory. A scientific theory has been tested, can make predictions, can explain why things are the way they are. And yes, the big bang has plenty of evidence - look up Hubble and the expanding universe. And yes, it can make predictions that can be tested - look up the cosmic microwave background.

. The Big Bang Theory has been tested by determing what must be happening in the universe if it is correct and then observing to see it it has made accurate predictions, which it has.
. If you object to the Big Bang Theory on religious grounds, you questions belong in a religious forum, not a scientific forum.

Since evolution is a fact, and there IS evidence for the big bang, cosmic microwave back ground radiation for one, I must come to the conclusion that you are the greatest example of WILLFUL IGNORANCE I have ever seen. I guess there are other fundies just as bad. Have a good day.

It's a theory because it's a theory, not a proof or law. Theory's don't have to have lots of evidence and don't have to be tested. However, they do need support from peers in the field.

I think you need to do more research.

Well some.

Well any.

I mean open a book, check a web page, anything.

There is lots of evidence, it has been tested and you are talking from a position of assertive ignorance.
