Is this on a refrigerator or air conditioner? I'd guess that the fan is out of balance. I can think of 2 possible causes - either there's dirt on the fan, or a fan blade is bent or broken.If it's a fridge, try using a whisk broom or brush to sweep the blades clean. Do the coils while you're at it, and the fridge will work better and quieter. If it's an AC unit, try to clean it as best as you can - some are hard to get to.

It may be out of balance because it has become loose or the bearings may be going out in the motor.These are the most common causes

Either the Bearings are worn out or the blades are out of balance.
