I don't get it. If that's the case, don't you think the producers would've wanted Chris Daughtry to win last season? Taylor Hicks is not doing well with his CD at all. And what about Ruben Studdard. Where is he now? If the producers REALLY choose the winner, don't you think they'd want to pick someone more commericially viable?

Well, Chris Daughtry is what I'll use as an example. Him getting voted off last season made the ratings come up even higher because people wanted to see who would win since everyone assumed it would be him. Taylor Hicks winning was, in my opinion, completely rigged. Also, soon after last season was over with, many voters complained that during voting for the final three, no matter what number they called, they would still get the message saying "thank you for voting for Katherine McPhee". Chris getting voted off last season was the final straw with me. It's rigged.

Becasue a few years back there was a complaint that a lot of people (from a certain state that I can't think of right now ) that had an American Idol contestant (also can't think of that one ) could not get calls through ... Also , they think the judges are racist . I don't think it's fixed though.

My answer is short and sweet.

I don't think American Idol is fixed. I do believe that about 75% of the people that vote are NOT voting for who has the most talent but for the "underdog" or the one "they feel bad for". People are NOT voting for who has the most talent or who's records they would buy.

What's up with Dial Idol. I'm so freaking p**sed!!! ugh

I think the show is fixed so the producers will get viewers for raining controversy on the viewing public.

Maybe because it is fixed.

As for your reasonings, they don't care about talent. Controversy drives the ratings (Sanjaya, et al.), not good singing.

what you say is true. i don't think that it is fixed. i kind of thought so in the beginning but got over it. some people at home vote and some don't that is why they say don't complain if you don't vote. it is not a set up.
