Alberto Gonzales' original claim to fame is that he got GW out of Jury duty, while he was governor. Although Jury duty is a bother, it is still our civic duty as a U. S. citizen. So should we be surprised? Also, let's be reasonable, if the Governor of any state shows up for Jury duty in the state he governs, he would probably be released anyway, even in Texas.

I would like to respond to Buttercup's comments about us Liberals,especially us "Minority Liberals". First, the question wasn't about race. Second, the link that I put in the question refers to a Republican Senator stating the Gonzales should be removed. The article doesn't mention race either. Third, I just want someone competent and qualified. I don't have a race requirement. I would rather have someone white and competent in a powerful position than a minority who is incompetent in that same position. I think that the latter is far worse.
