I water them once per day and all the water drains out of the liner. I have 5 of these planters and spent alot of $$$ on these flowers. Does anyone know about how to care for flowers in a coconut liner?

More water and fertilize more. There are not as many nutrients in a small pot compared to being in the ground.

Plants in hanging planters need much more water than plants in regular soil. Plants in coconut hair planters need much more water than that!!! Try watering them in the morning and the evening, and put them in partial shade. The water will evaporate more slowly. Try using moisture control soil, also, it has little beads that are reservoirs that hold water until the surrounding soil is dry enough to need it. This will help.

Because the liners are so porous, they dry out very quickly. In my planters I use a black trash can liner to line the coco-liner(cut to fit). Make sure you poke holes in the plastic for drainage.
After the trash liner is in, add soil and plants as usual.

nothing really else to do. Make sure the flowers are in the correct location. You aren't putting shade plants in the sun are you? I have 7 coconut lined baskets, and there is really no care involved- just water.

Sounds like they are bone dry. Do you have the capability of totally submerging them in water for a while? Once the soil is desert dry water will not be absorbed. Second choice is to aerate (poke holes in the soil) and water slowly. Once the soil is rehydrated, daily watering should suffice.

good luck

I suggest lifting the plants and replacing your current soil/potting mix with Miracle Gro's moisture control potting soil. That's what I used when I planted my petunias in coconut liners. They are doing beautifully. Fertilizer and moisture pellets are built into the potting soil.
