Rosa Parks defied a cruel and profoundly unfair set of racist laws and customs, and people of all races owe her a debt of gratitude for that matter. What did people like Falwell or Pat Robertson ever do for humanity? Very telling that even clowns suggesting he should be in the Capital Rotunda don't provide a single argument to support their position.

That honor is only for presidents and leaders as well as outstanding citizens that make a POSITIVE mark on American society. Rev. Falwell did not make a positive mark but was rather negative and thus should not have flags lowered nor should he lie in state in the Capitol Rotunda. Put him in his church and let him lie there. He is used to lying in that place in another way.

Falwell did everything he could to oppress anyone who wasn't a white straight Christian male.
Rosa Parks actually did something to take a stand against a wrong that was being committed.
Who did Falwell help?

NO, falwell was nothing more that a religious zealot. Rosa Parks is a great figure in the civil rights movement. Falwell and guys like Pat Robertson have spent their life on this earth not doing God's work but being a dividing force in america. They are not loving of all people . If you are not a right wing white male or a submissive female, you have not place in their world, so Falwell needs to be buried somewhere else.

The irreverend Falwell should be 'lied' in the his college of the hypocrites he established, and even 'lied' to rest thereat. That way the under graduates and graduate hypocrites will have something to adore and praise. Another one bite the dust!

I'm pretty sure such empty gestures have no appeal to a conservative group of supporters like Falwell's.

I doubt that this will happen. Falwell was too controversial a figure.
