Vanilla Ice and Milli Vanilli. Both of them really showed how pathetic most Americans are. We bought into both of them, everyone loved them, they were constantly on the radio, and then as soon as they were outed, everyone claims to have never liked them.

My perspective is that I liked the music. It sounded good, got me going, and I really couldn't care less about the authenticity of it, or the "artistic value" or whatever. It was meant to enjoy. I don't think either was claiming to be Norman Rockwell.

Yes, as much as I hate to admit it, I loved that song. I miss a lot of the old skool hits & stuff from the late 80s & 90s actually. Did you know his real name is Rob Van Winkle? Kinda funny huh? I don't blame him for going by something else even if it was "Vanilla Ice"....

LOL at Chris E!!! Rock on!!! ;o)

I was at Vanilla Ice's concert, and yes I owned the tape. *shame* And I can still do some of the dance steps from when us cheerleaders performed at a basketball game. To this day, my 44 year old husband will crank it up just to hear me sing EVERY SINGLE LYRIC.
