Procrastination comes from the Latin “pro,” meaning “forward, forth, or in favor of,” and “crastinus,” meaning “of tomorrow”.

However, to go beyond this notion of delay is to encounter considerable disagreement. Not everyone believes it means the same thing.

To procrastinate means to be hesitant with an action or decision, and waste time by thinking of excuses to do something else!

You ve got all the answers, the only thing I can add, is that the root of the word "procrust" comes from the Greek myths from the bandit Procrustus, who used to catch peaceful passers by and tie them to the bed that could mechanically stretch out, therefore ripping person apart. When the hero Theseus passed by, Procrustus asked him to rest on the bed, Theseus suspected that was something wrong and pushed Procrustes himself on the sitting. Then he tied him up and stretched him until all the limbs were ripped off. The End.

Strictly speaking it means delaying until the following day.
The word derives from the Latin word "cras", which means "tomorrow".
