Some lubricants can stop you from conceiving. You need to try a water soluble solution that is sperm friendly like preseed.

I don't think the lubrication should be a problem, but you might want to switch brands just in case. What type of birth control did you use in the last 3 years? Certain types can take up to a year after you stop before you can get pregnant. Also, you should see a different doctor, explain your full history, and let them check you out, make sure nothing is wrong and that nothing has changed. Also, have your husband checked out, it's not always the mommy you know.

Lubricants (both water and oil based) CAN inhibit sperm from reaching the egg. The only personal lubricant on the market that supposedly doesn't harm the sperm is Preseed.
As far as the relation of weight to conception, there is some truth to that. Women who have more fat on their bodies actually produce more estrogen which can cause them to stop ovulating!! (likewise women who are significantly underweight don't have enough estrogen in their bodies and can also have problems ovulating!!) you can read more about the science behind these facts here: http://www.babyhopes.com/articles/overweight-getting-pregnant.html
To be in the best physical shape for conception, a woman's % body fat should be between 19-25%
For more on this, read: http://health.discovery.com/centers-pregnancy-americanbaby-fertilityfacts.shtml
Your doctor, or a trainer at a nearby gym, will be able to measure your % body fat for you (the gym will most likely do this for no charge) If you are really interested in trying everything you can to increase your chances of conception, it might be worth it to insure you are in the best physical condition for healthy ovulation :)
Don't forget to have hubby's health checked out as well!!
Best of luck!

Unless the lubrication contains some sort of spermicide, it shouldn't have an affect. A high BMI CAN affect fertility, so although your doctor was insensitive, I would work on getting yourself to an ideal BMI (let me know how you do that, I'm still trying myself!).
I would first start tracking your ovulation to make sure you are ovulating regularly (an ovulation kit can be purchased in any drug store). Once you know that you are ovulating, then you can start ruling out other issues.
Sometimes these things just take time. It took me 7 months to get pregnant.
Good luck!

I think you need a new doctor. Something else could be seriously wrong, you never know. My husband and I tried for about a year before I gave up. Two months after I gave up I got pregnant. Mostly if you are stressing yourself out about it, it won't happen. Try getting an over the counter ovulation kit, and try and relax, think about it as if it's no big deal if you get pregnant. Good Luck, hope I helped.

Yes some lubrications will keep you from getting pregnant you may want to use on that is gental on sperm they make some that is just for women and I use it and it is waterbased and dosen't hert the sperm it's called Pjur Woman Aqua Gel it's very good and it another good tip would be that if you do it try not to do it every day and also not to wait more than two days b/c it you do it everyday than the sperm is not mature enough for conception and if it is longer than 2days than the sperm is no good

First you need a new doctor. Some lubricants can create a hostile enviroment for sperm so they don't always recomend using them. There is however a lubricant that is especially for trying to get pregnant. It helps sperm get to its destination eaisier because it creates a better enviorment. The name of it is pre-seed. Good luck.

NO, unless there is a spermicide in it, it should not interfere with getting pregnant. From personal experience, we tried for over a year before getting preg with our littlest one. Shortly after we stopped thinking about it, relaxed, and said well, if it happens, great, if not, oh well.. we got pregnant!! Also, we were told by a specialist at Brigham and Womens hospital in Boston that your intake of caffiene can effect both his sperm count and your body's willingness to accept it. As far as being too heavy?? NOT!!! One of my friends is almost 400 lbs, and has had 5 kids, time for another doc, I think!! GOOD LUCK!!!!

Always get more than one opionion..
So seek at least two more doctors for consultation...
Maybe even try a fertility clinic but only for 6 months. I say it's too much chemical that the body takes..
But trying for a bit doesn't hurt....
