How can I play Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Adventures?

I've got two friends that I want to play LoZ: FSA with: Alan and Kevin. Alan has a DS and a GBA, but not a connector cable for Gameboys. Kevin has a GBA and a connector cable, but not a DS. I've got a DS Lite and a GBA (which is lost at the moment) but not a cable. I'm also the only one with both the GBA cartridge and the GC disk for the game.
Since there are only three of us, I'm wondering whether or not we can play a 3-player game on the GBA version. I'm pretty sure we can on the GC one, but I don't have a cable.

But can I play a 2- or 3- player game on the GBA?

you cannot play three player, but you can play two players, IF you have two copies of the game.

you would have to use the gameboys, and the gameboy link cable to hook up two GBAs or two cables to hook up three GBAs

each game that is playing has to have its own zelda: FSA to play

if you want to play three player on the gamecube, you will need three (3) gamecube connector cables

Yes, it will have to be on the GBA. Unfortunatly, the DS was made without anyways of conneting to other players when playing GBA games. You can only use the DS to connect to play DS games.

That didn't make total sense to me. I'll try

A DS can't be used to play multiplayer GBA games.
The GBA 4 swords needs 1 cartrage and 1 link cable (minus1) per player. 3 people yould need 3 GBAs, 3 Games, and 2 link cables.

Gamecube 4 swords just needs a cor to connect your GBA to you Gamecube per player. NO GBA GAME IS NEEDED.
