it's too early. right now all nominees are just floating on party lines. as it gets closer to primaries, the candidates will have to come out more and be their own person. i think senator clinton will do the most in regards to gay rights. maybe senator obama as well, and vp gore is he decides to run. i hope he does.
rep. kucinich has spoken out that he supports gay rights, civil unions and so on. no one will say they accept gay marriage until civil unions are allowed. it's a stepping stone i think.

there are some that support gay rights, although there are limits as to how far they will go.

most of the major contenders do not support same sex marriage, they only support same sex civil unions. This is due to several factors. The Dems are afraid the Reps will use this as a wedge issue like in 04, so the Dems are staying away from it.

THAT'S A GOOD QUESTION! I can't find any definite statements supporting gay rights.

Obama's website says 'he supports gay rights'. What I'm looking for is something like: "I will support gay marrage and military service". Not some wishy-washy non-commital thing.

Not sure but hope that it is a clear issue so I know! especially those who are anti-gay and gay issues. I understand there are some who have a religious issue with it, but what is their personal issue and understanding.
