Of course
They take prayer out of schools
They make schools out of bounds to God
They make religion look irrelevant in schools
But when a shooting incident happens.
They ask why wasn't God in the school to prevent the shooting.
Religion has become irrelevant in schools and guns have.
Harsh words and violence have replaced the soft prayers

Yes, the two are related, plus lack of parental discipline and prayer at home, as well. People have adopted this culture of no spankings, just "Time out". God never said to give a child "Time out" if they misbehaved. His words through his prophet were, "Spare the rod, spoil the child" And that is exactly what has happened. Parents are afraid to spank their kids, and the kids are getting more and more out of control. When I was a kid, there were no such thing as school shootings and violence in schools. In all of the schools there was prayer and discipline. The kids would get paddled if they did something bad, like excessive talking in class, etc. Kids prayed over their food and recited the pledge of allegiance everyday. Kids knew their limits and they respected teachers. Prayer played a very important part in schools and kids were better because of it.

Ug please religion has nothing to do with it. Parents who ignore their kids are, parents that expect too much put too much pressure or never give thire children any guidence or love is the reason.
What about kids that would be subject to religious persecution becuase they differ from the religious structure at the school. Today we are much more diverse, before the 60's the average student was white and christian. Today it is chirstian cathlolic, jewish, muslim, hindu, buddhist, wiccan the list goes on. What about the kids that would be pushed into something that does not repersent who THEY are, they would be pushed to the outside. No prayer in schools is NOT the answer.
Parents should only have kids if they intend to love, nurture, support and teach them right from wrong. Not neglect or abuse them physically OR mentally.
BTW how many religious wars were fought how many lost their lives FOR religion. Is that not violence? How many "rightous" people murdered others becasue they thought they were doing god's work, what about abortion clinics remember those bombings and deaths?
A lack of religion in scoools or peoples lives should not be your scapegoat for pinning the worlds problems on.

Sorry, but this is a logical fallacy, as you haven't established a cause and effect relationship between taking religion out of schools and increased violence. Your conclusion might be right, but you have given no evidence to support it.
Let me give you an example:
1) Rapes are more common in the summer.
2) Ice cream sales increase in the summer.
Does this mean that the two are somehow connected?
There could be other factors that have led to the increase of violence, such as guns being more accessible, overcrowding of schools, etc.

Absolutely, If you take God away all that is left are sinful humans one should expect no less than what we now have or worse!!!!
BTW, The "separation of Church and state" is unconstitutional "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or PROHIBITING the FREE EXERCISE thereof;or arraigning the freedom of speech, or of the press;or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances." This means the Government can't tell when you can pray!!!!!!!!!
A person can be a good Morale Christian and a gun owner and a parent, they must However, be willing to educate their children in all matters of life, From Gods Word to the 2nd amendment to how to cook!! Education is a parental responsibility!!!!!!!!!

Back in those days it was also not against any laws to punish your own children either. I do NOT mean to beat a child because I personally never had to spank mine but I did get spankings when needed for treating people with disrespect , guess what ?? today I am a pretty cool person who knows my boundaries and what is expected of me in society. My mommy spanked me but I learned my lesson and moved on . I did NOT need to thank lord Jesus for my lunch to learn how to treat folks My parents believed in God and all that stuff as well. I did not share my lack of religion with my children as this is sort of a new concept for me as well. But my children turned out better than I did and they have not felt the need to shoot people up just because Joe or Sally does not like them. They have enough confidence to say "screw them their loss not mine" and keep succeeding. I feel like forcing some of the school shooters to pray would have probably made them start at an earlier age since they would have felt that "God did not love them either or he would deliver them from their Misery"

i dont think it has anything to do with it lol as we can see private schools with religious practicing their priest or what ever you may call him there have been many acounts for them sexually abusing children so ethier way you cant excape the violence and harm that may come to children while at school the only you can do is teach them right and wrong and hope for the best and be their for them (most kids loose trust and no longer confide in their parent these days) i say hope for the best because we cant control what kind of people who go to school nor can we really control who kids hang out with while at school some things just kind of happen in the line of fire

I don't think it's the lack of religion, but the lack of parental involvement in these kids lives. That and the lack of MORALS (which you CAN get outside of religion, believe it or not).
All it takes is a little time, effort, and a pinch of real discipline (which is VERY lacking anymore) and you raise a good child. Ignore them, or give in to their every demand and you raise someone who's going to have problems in the future.
----------
btw, I was raised Roman Catholic and had a lot of interaction with very traditionally Irish Catholic grandmother and great grandmother. They never focused on God or prayer, but instead on instilling good habits and morals and respect in everything around me. In their words, they taught me to "act like a lady."

Yes, definitely. I did a contest speech once for speech team once on this very topic - some judges wanted to listen to it, some didn't. It all very much depended on their opinions. I did a similar topic this year, and a few judges just tore it apart because they didn't "believe" what I was saying. It shouldn't matter whether or not you believe in God or prayer, the fact that taking this simple act out has caused so much tragedy in America. Very much so, I believe it has had a HUGE effect.

Very silly. All wars and most violence in general is practiced by people who profess to believe in one imaginary being or another. Most 90% + prisoners say they are religious.
