Absolutely! Some women will pull the "but you have to be a gentleman" card - to which I suggest they act like ladies. All things come with a tradeoff. You can't have your cake and eat it too.
I believe that if men are eligible for the draft, women should be too (even though I would hate to be drafted). I'm basically against any law that favors one sex over another, like the old polygamy laws that said only men could have multiple spouses. If it can only be done by one gender, it's pretty much determined by biology and so laws are pointless. That's why we don't have laws saying men can't have abortions - no need.
I open doors for people. I buy dinner - my partner and I trade off. I know women who want to be treated like princesses and catered to, but if they find men who are happy to do so, great.
Societal norms are changing, but it won't happen overnight.

I don't know about all women, but I want true equal rights. That means if I want to be with you I will buy you dinner. I already open the door for anyone, and I support myself fully. I vote, I pay taxes and I work for a living All I ask is the same opportunities be available to me as are to men. It is up to me whether I take advantage of them or not, as it is up to me to succeed or fail on my own merits.
As to your opinion, doesn't everyone want those things that further promote their place in the world? What about white men who whine about affirmative action 'stealing' their jobs? Aren't they asking for special consideration?

I always open doors for other people behind me. I always paid for the meals on my dates.
So I guess I would have to say, yes, I want equal rights.

i actually do that. if a guy needs help buying something i'll buy it for him and if he wanted me to open the door for him i'd gladly do it. but some guys have an ego problem when it comes to girls 'buying them dinner' or opening the door for them.

Selective, please.
Continue to pay my bills, take out my garbage, open doors for me, pull out my chair, and buy my dinner.
But don't complain when I say that I am just as capable of doing these things for myself.
God, I love being a woman!!
