The first player to hit a HR in a Yankee uniform was OF Harry Wolter in 1913. The franchise had been known as the Highlanders until their move to the Polo Grounds to start that season. Wolter went on to own a share of the team lead in HR's that year ... with 2. The team finished with a total of 8.
