I think that England is one of the greatest countries on earth. It is fun, there are millions of things to do, and they speak English. Many Brits do seem to share a fondness for America, especially here in Florida and I welcome every one of them.

I never really thought that the British had a lot of affection...
I do however think the feelings are cordial.
Many Americans respect the British but are some @sshole ones who don't but those are the ignorant ones who don't know what goes on outside of America

I think Britons have mixed feelings about America. We like Brazil for the carnival, hate the Argentinians for the Falklands and the hand of god. Canadians are delightful.
I'm sorry, do you mean the USA - one of the countries that makes up America? We tend not to appreciate the arrogance.

i have no affection for america . i can take it or leave it. at least most americans choose to stay in their own country. i like them for that, unlike others i could mention . i spent 3 months in america and the most unpleasant person i met while travelling all over the west coast was a german. the natives, black or white were helpful and friendly

doubt that they love us as a country, more likely it's a case by case assessment of Americans since every country has their bad apples. I think that we should all just deal and not ask this question because it's not like we really have each others backs for sincere reasons and not monetary or political.

I like the Americans because they don't all come flocking to our country clogging up our nhs waiting lists, stealing our jobs and claiming the benefits that I pay my tax for. Unlike some countries I could mention.

I like the Brits, I would hope the feeling is mutual. They're a tough bunch, don't mess with 'em.

I didn't know the British liked us that much.
I like them okay and wish I could visit Great Britain, as that is where many of my ancestors originated.

im english and have never loved or felt any affection for america. its mostly a bit too god-loving and fat for my tastes but that donts mean i dont hae american friends, all of whom say they prefer the uk. the us is too big really to say you love it of hate it. the difference between the south and then somewhere like NY is huge.
