Usually until they start getting holes or wearing thin, then to the trash they go.
My BF however, I every 6 months or so go through his drawer and if they have holes or are thinning, I throw them out. He will wear anything as long as its clean, some boys need a helping hand.

I don't think it matters, they are like regular clothes, when they start to wear out you should replace them. They aren't like mascara that you should replace every 3 months. Wear them as long as you feel they are doing their job...

when they wear out. As long as you are washing them and only wearing them for one day, changing them daily in other words, there is no reason not to keep them until they wear out.

You dont want to be wearing ratty looking underwear.

I use mine until they get holes or the elastic wears out.
