Which do you think is better, the Geico cavemen or the gecko???
Also I heard a rumor that they are thinking about making a citcom based on the cavemen. Has anyone else heard this and would you watch it???

I like the Gecko. While makeup effects and prosthetics are cool, animation has come a long way since I was a kid!
ABC has picked up the comedy pilot "Cavemen," which yes, is based on the Geico commercials. The pilot was shot in March 2007 and was officially announced as part of the 2007-2008 fall lineup yesterday at the upfronts in NYC. It's about three cavemen who struggle with modern-day life and all of the new technology. John Heard plays Tripp, the main Caveman; he's known most recently for "Prison Break" but also as Kevin McAllister's father in "Home Alone."
Personally I don't think the show will last.

Oh Help us, its not a rumor. There is going to be a sitcom of the cavemen starting soon. I saw the commercial for it already. This should be interesting! No I dont like the gecco, and not so nuts about the cavemen either. I find the Geico commercials to be very annoying most of the time.

The cave dudes and the gecko are equally funny, however, I doubt if I would watch a show that they would do for either and the rumor you heard is true, ABC had the fantastic idea to do a show w/ the cavemen. The link to the story reporting their schedule for next season is below.

I like the cavemen better. ABC announced that they will have a sitcom this fall Tuesdays at 8:00. I'll watch, but I don't think it will last too long.

The gecko - always cute. The cavemen are humorous, but getting old.

I like the gecko. I am so over the cavemen!!! and if the show of the cavemen does get made, I would skip it at this moment...

I like the Gecko, personally.
As far as the caveman sitcom - yes, ABC has ordered a pilot of this show for the Fall season. I would probably watch it just to see what it's like

I like the gecko, he is cute. The cavemen are a little too metro sexual for me. Gosh I hope they never get a show because I am already burned on their stupid commercials.

I love the cavemen, they are just so funny and if they made a sitcom I would defenitely watch
