these people aren't looting their own town, they're the salt of the earth, hard working and have lost everything. i see very little media attention outside of our area, no celebrities are using their fame to draw attention to the issue like new orleans or other disasters. why? is kansas unimportant?

My church is actually organizing a trip to go help them clean up and rebuild.

Your point is a good one. But part of it is also because the people of Greensburg, KS aren't holding their hands out asking for everyone else's help. They're pulling themselves up by the bootstraps and carrying on with their lives, as midwesterners typically do.

I see lots of help, but I am just a few miles from there.
You have a point. Oklahoma City victims nothing from the federal government. New York city victims millions from the federal government.

there are all kinds of help coming from people around the area.
we don't wait and whine and cry for the feds to come in.
we load up our trucks,tractors,food,clothing and take care of buisness.
