some birds sound happy yet others sound in stress any reason for this these birds are sleepers at night but not so lately.

i guess it's too hot for birds in the earlier part of the day...sounds logical..there's been so much abt global warming these days, and abt high global temperatures.

It's that time of year: breeding and nesting season. Birds that are usually quiet during the night are now busy establishing territories and sitting on the nest. With this comes singing and sqawking. For example, the Northern Mockingbird is known to sing at all hours of the night during the breeding season. There are alot of nocturnal birds as well, such as owls and nightjars that are common in Arizona.

It depends on the birds. There ARE night time birds out there, so it may not really be unusual, unless they are really birds that are ALWAYS out during the day and this is unusual for them to do. There are many owl species in that area, I believe, and nightjar species as well.
