Is your question this - "Which civilization IS older than any other civilization in the world?" (Which civilization is the oldest?) That would be the "civilization" of H-omo Erectus in the Paleolithic Age, or Old Stone Age.

the Sumerian and Babilonian are known to be the first civilizations that left record of their existence, however, it is impossible to specify the most ancient civilization on history, since the invention of writing is a relatively young (several thousands of years), the records of civilizated periods prior to the middle east are gone in the dark deep tale of the history. I was wondering, for example, about Asia and what is now China, there were powerful kindoms before the Mongols and little is known about it. Some descriptions of ancient history are "to be" found in legends and tales such as the Gilgamesh Epics and the Bible....however, other sources such as the Teosophy could be useful if you like to dream about lost civilizations.

the earliest 2 civilizations (in the sense we know it) were those in Mesopotamia & along the Indus in India
A theory has been broached that the Indians may have seen & improved upon the former, adding baths and so on, but as no one know the actual dates and due to the climate in India, a number of the earliest records are long gone--so we shall never know for sure.

The oldest one I believe is the Indus River civilization in India. But, double check that.

nobody knows that for sure.
there are legends about civilizations that are more than 10,000 years old.. like Atlantis.. but there is no concrete evidence except for plato's reference of that civilization.. and there are legends about the civilization called Lemuria supposedly even more ancient and advanced civilization than Atlantis.. and there is one more called kumari kandam, supposedly a dravidian civilization during the period of Lemuria, with some speculations that its a reference to lemuria itself.
and if you consider recorded history with evidence, then I think the answers are quite conflicting.
