This is an enjoyable question to answer!!! My favorite summer pasttime goes back to the time when I was still teaching and could only make time to do this during the summer. I love to paint watercolors. All year long, I take my digital camera along with me and take pictures of beautiful landscapes, interesting architecture, gardens, floral arrangements, people and animals. In summer, especially when it is too hot to really enjoy the outdoors, I haul out all of my watercolor paints and photos. I have a wealth of ideas of what to paint from my own photos, and I lose all time once I sit down with a brush. By the way, I did not begin this hobby until my late forties, so if it is too sedate for you, tuck this one away into your long-term memory. It might bring you pleasure as it has me at another period of your life!!!
