Under most city ordinances, it is perfectly legal to begin construction at 7 AM, maybe even 6 AM, as noise ordinances usually only apply to the night-time hours (10 PM to 6 AM or something similar). The only thing you can do is ask your landlord if it is possible to have them start later. Just remember, these workers are just trying to earn a living, they don't want to disturb residents and it is not their fault that they are forced to work at this time.

Since you are paying rent you should talk to your landlord and nicely ask him if the workers can start after 8:30 am. Tell him you have to work and you need your sleep just like him. Unless he wants to knock some off of the rent until the construction is done. Remember the construction workers would like to be in their beds at 7 am but they have to earn a living like you. They dont want to disturb you, but that is their job and if they dont do it someone else will.

sadly most cities allow for construction to begin as early as 7. so sadly nothing you can do, but talk to the landlord and express your feelings about it, maybe hes nice enough to try and work around it.

Your city probably has noise ordinances that restrict the hours of operation for such things...and for noisy parties, or a kid learning to play a drum kit.

find out what those laws are, and if they're in violation, call the police.

believe me, they'd rather deal with something innocuous as this than to answer a domestic violence call.

The sooner they start, the sooner they finish.
