How do I put a code so that people can pay with credit card on my web site?

I am creating a web site with php. I want to sell something through one of the web pages. And I want people to use their credit cards or visa card or alike.Can anyone tell me which code do I use? waiting for your answers.

As others have said, you shouldn't take the credit-card numbers on your site yourself. You should pass over to a reputable company who specialise in this.

I've successfully used Worldpay - it's quite easy to integrate with their system, and they take care of all the security. The way I've done it is that the form on my site takes the user details and the specifics of the order, then passes the data to Worldpay where the user can enter the credit card details. Worldpay then returns either a confirmation or a cancellation to your site.

Go to paypal and look under the merchants area. You can put free paypal buttons on your site and have people pay you through payapal. Most internet users are advised NOT to put their credit cards into unknown/untrusted sites so you may have trouble getting people to use your form. Processing credit card details is a major security issue, so my advice to you is that if you're not an Internet security expert you should let paypal do all your processing.

This is not an easy task for do-it-urself, not to mention that people may not be willing to give you thier Credit Card info...

Your best solution is to run it through a known Internet. I just googled "php and credit card processing" and go alot of hits. Look for a reputable company and go with that. they will provide secure site for your patrons to process.

Try going to PayPal. They have a lot of codes already setup for you. All you need is a PayPal account which is free.

when you upload your website, use a company that already provide a checkout facility for your webpage - this will enable you to take credit cards using their technology
