Yes, marijuana should be legal. Alcohol is legal and so are cigarettes, and both of those kill people everyday. Marijuana has medicinal uses and is NOT addictive, unlike alcohol and nicotine.

Truth is, it has been.

The 10th amendment states that "any powers not assigned to the [US] government by the constitution nor denied by the constituion to the states shall be reserved to the states respectively and to the people."

California and several other states legalized marajuana for medical purposes. The US surpreme Court disregarded the US Constitution 10th amendment when they rulled that Federal Law supercedes the State law.

When the politic passes a law in disregards to the US Constitution, then the entire law that they pass is invalid due to the violation to the US Constitution.

By disrgarding the right of the State of California (and other States) rights to the regulation of marajuana, and the failure of the states to protect the people's rights to affect their laws, the entire sets of laws governing the marajuana issue are invalidated.

It only requires peole in those states that legalized it to have the courage to stand up infront of a jury and place that argument. You will have to defend your self as lawyers are indoctrinated to cowtow to the powers that be. But if the Jury rules in the favor of the defendant, that is all that can be said, no appeals allowed, except if the US Constitution is no longer the Supreme Law of this Land.

As to the issue of the path to legalize other drugs, Marajuana does not have scientific or medical evidence of being dangerous in any way (in part because the DEA does not let the universities do the studies needed). The other drugs, including alcohol do have clear indications of dangers. So we would not have a lack of evidence to support legalization of other substances. Sorry but that slippery slop is not valid as is the argument of gate way drugs.

When I was a teenager I saw no harm in pot. When I was a mom I thought pot was making my kid dumb. I could see him making really bad decisions because of his pot usage. I did a 360.

I don't even understand how it's constitutional to outlaw something that God created and is used in it's, natural, unaltered state. Gen 1:29 is where God gave Adam all the green plants with seed that reproduce by their seed, to be used as food. Seems like marijuana prohibition is in direct conflict with the Holy Bible, the Torah and maybe even the Quran. The damn devil is probably behind it.

the problem is that this is a slippery slope..what next should we make meth and cocain and heroin legal as well?

however for medical purposes it should be allowed

you have to think about the effects that this would have in the long run...aka...making this legal and giving a whole lot of power to some very dangerous people

i think that the drive from it being legal will make the thrill of use less exciting. so if they want to cut down on business then they will make it legal.

come on you know you all like the sneakiness from it.
