What are the steps for making plastic?

I want to make a plastic body for my go-kart, and I'm trying to find out what would be involved.

You'd need a mold, a source for plastic beads, and a way to melt and pour them. Plus I think they are fiberglas, not plastic. I wonder if this source would be helpful. http://www.mygocarts.com/
