This season I watched and enjoyed Jericho, sure there were some things I didn't quite like, but overall I looked forward to the show. And then the heart breaking and then inspiring season finale that left us hanging and praying to know what happend to Jake and the rest of the town. Now CBS decides not to renew the show and leaves those of us that watched the show in the cold.

What I think killed the show was CBS's horrible decision to put the show on a longer then normal hiatus which caused people to forget the show even existed and by the time it came back they'd found a show to replace it. Its not the show's fault that CBS made this decision so they shouldn't suffer for it. They should renew it for another half season and at least finish it off.

Looks official to me. Linked to the news story.

Am very disappointed. I realize these post-apocalypse shows are very hard to connect with the viewers, but Jericho had seemed to have done so.

I don't think it helped that they killed off the best character in the season finale. Perhaps if Gerald McRaney were still in the cast, it might have survied to season 2.

Don't you think this would be a good show for the SciFi channel to pick up? Or perhaps a cable channel like FX? Or even CW.

That's actually not official. They will announce the CBS fall lineup TODAY at 5pm EST. Right now the fact that "Jericho" has been cancelled is really not a fact: it's a speculation, a rumor.

I started to watch this because the concept was interesting.

But after about 2-3 episodes...I just couldn't watch it anymore...and continued to watch until about Ep. 7.

It just became a chore. The story moved too slow for me.
I then just started to TiVo....and tried to keep watching just to find out what happens....just couldn't do it. I had to delete all the other episodes.

Of the new shows...I was more upset that they cancelled: Kidnapped and ABC's DayBreak

Maybe you could do a write in campaign to get jerico to produce the show on a straight to dvd platform. that is where they will be going soon, as standard tv gives way to tv on demand.
