Maybe you've witness an eclipse, seen shooting stars or a once-in-a-lifetime comet.
Maybe you've observed something through an optical telescope at an observatory and discovered new rings on Saturn?
Or maybe you've seen unusual sunsets.

I saw Haley's Comet (or Hale-Bopp if you prefer that) years ago when it came around. Thats definitely once in a lifetime. I also saw a few eclipses (a total solar and a total lunar and 1 or 2 partials). I saw a shooting star only once. Other than that, I dont think so. I would absolutely LOVE to see the northern lights though.

I could have the unique opportunity of seeing the Total Eclipse of 1991 here in Mexico City. It was the most awesome and beautiful phenomenon that it is conceivable to watch in the sky.

One of those really huge Virgin hot air balloons with about 15 people in the basket floated quite low past my house yesterday morning. That was pretty cool.

Seeing a shooting star in the sky was cool to me because it happened 2-3 days after my grandmother died. She had a star named after her. It was very special to me. I think it was her way of saying goodbye to me. She was the best.
Thanks for the question.
