First let me say I disagree with the question, on merits. Who said peace equates happy? It doesn't! How many people do you know who hide their true feelings in order to preserve the peace in their relationships/interactions? How happy are those people? The truth is, one of the things you must do to be happy is to express your true self and that means standing up for yourself as the need arises.
In no particular order,
1. self expression
2. loving relationships
3. a sense of being part of something bigger than oneself
4. the wisdom to solve the problems in your life
5. mentor relationships or God to set examples for you to follow.
