No it is not, but to be honest, helpful and sincere doesnt mean you have to be naive. You can help people only so much, and the one's who truly deserve or need your help would and will not take an advantage of you. You must make sure you are in conditions to help anyone who you want to help, it is very difficult to help people in need unless your own life is in good order. Unfortunately world is filled with people who rather have others to do work for them than work themselves and those are the kind who will not thank you from their heart for your help. The one's who wait for you to do everything for them and show no gratitude for your efforts are there to take an advantage of you and your kindness, they are the kind of people you should learn to say " no " to.
Judge with your heart and your instinct, who you think truly needs your help and will not try to take an advantage of you. But then again, dont expect a payback of your actions, they might be a long way ahead as what goes around, comes around.

If you really are fed up with this world, why do you bother what it thinks of you?
Do all the good you wish and can but desist from expecting returns - for when you get back returns for what you have done it would be called labor not help. I understand your feelings when you say people should not be selfish and ungrateful but don't you think it is so much better to be in a position to help rather than be in a position where help is required.
There are many good people in this world like you and the world survives because of you. I express my sincere thanks to you for all the good you do. Do not change because of some bad people. Look around, find an understanding partner and carry on what you think is right. That in itself is reason enough to live on.

First off, please don't write in all caps; while emotive it is hard to read.
Secondly, it is not stupid to be honest, helpful, and sincere. However, not everyone wants your opinion or your help. Some people will also take advantage of you if you aren't careful.
Thirdly, don't expect any help for doing good deeds; at least not in this life. If you are Christian; the Bible says that your reward is in heaven. If you believe in reincarnation; your Karma will effect your next incarnation.
Last off, are you being a "true" person or a judgmental person who is trying to get others to fit into your beliefs. This is not to say that your beliefs are wrong. Just understand that humanity is so varied in beliefs and ethics that no one "way" will appeal to everyone; even every one who is trying to be good and spiritual.
Respect the beliefs of others, even if you feel they are wrong. It is the only way for you to gain their respect in turn.

Anyone can change a habit if they want to. You could have written "I won't change my habit of..."
Please don't help me unless I ask for that help first. I find it arrogant for anyone to assume that I need help before making that request. I find it arrogant that someone would assume to know what I would need in terms of help.
I usually ask "is there anything you need from me?" They have the choice of yes or no, as do I.

Be honest with yourself first. If you do not want to help people DO NOT DO THAT. If you do - do it without waiting for rewards and strait help from God. This is not some kind of bargaining shop.
Whatever you do - try to be happy with it, or do not do it.
