i know it might sound a little discusting, but the thing is, there is nothing wrong with 1st cousins getting together. you both have different blood. different father (or mother) so technically it is ok and in fact it is largely accepted and commonly done in my culture. cousins marry. there's nothing wrong with that. i know many many couples that have married, had kids, and still have lived a good 17-20 years of a lovely relationship, and yes, they were cousins.
if you have feelings towards him, let him know. then maybe, he'll do the avoiding, and you wouldn't have to.

I had a cousin who I felt the hots for, too.
Nothing happened. But not because I didn't want it to. We simply didn't have the space and time to get it going. That's kind of sad.
Anyway, let the dice roll. Either you're both going to enjoy it, or it won't work out. Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

Well...I did things with my cousin and now we alwyas think of eachother as cousins adn nothing else anymore i mean he is cute but come on we're cousins i probably be in your same position if i didnt find that special someone once you find your someone then you will forget all about it k!!!!

You could talk to him, agree not to do anything ever again. Then there's no problems. Only if it's actually a topic to talk about though, some don't like breaching that after a time, too taboo.

I think it's something that you are going to have to deal with. It is ALWAYS a bad idea to mess around with someone related to you, no matter how close or far related. Actions follow emotions and emotions can be made to follow your mind. It sounds stupid, I know, but you can talk yourself out of your attraction to him. Just list the reasons why it would be a very wrong thing to "hook up" with him and repeat them in your mind over and over again, when you see him, repeat them in your mind, when you think about him, repeat them in your mind, etc... Eventually you will either convince yourself that he is off limits, or you'll break down and have to talk to him about your attraction.
