It's about 8 blocks for me which is about 3/4 of a mile about. Takes me about 10 minutes to walk there and 5 minutes on a bike. During summer I go at least 2-5 times a week, I would go more if I didn't have to work all day. Sometimes when traffic is really bad heading from my work to my home I go to the beach up by my work and wait it out there. During the rest of the year maybe 1-2 times a week on average.
I'd probably take you since I take most people that come to visit me to the beach. San Diego has the best beach scene, especially Pacific Beach.

I hate the beaches in my state (CT). They are all rocky and crappy all year round. So instead, I go to Gloucester, MA to a great beach. By August, it's nice and warm, and it's a beautiful beach. So that's the closest beach I actually ever visit...it's like 120 miles to get there. I go every year (often multiple times during the summer. And yes, I'd take you! :)You would probably think that the beach in Gloucester is the best New England has to offer you. Florida beaches are the best, though!!

I live about 45 miles away from Gulf Shores but it will take about 1 hour and 15 minutes because after you get off the interstate it is stop light city. I also live about 1.5-2 hours away from Pensacola Beach. Oh and there is another beach that will take about 30 minutes to get to it is Dolphin Island but it is not as big. I go as often as I can. I'll take you if you teach my husband to swim!

I live in south Florida, about 3 miles from my favorite beach. I go every chance I can. As far as you going, it's a public beach.

I live outside of Las Vegas. So if I go to Lake Mead, if that counts on your list about 30 miles.
Or then I would have to go to California and that would be about 300-350 miles.
Thank you
