But simply a messenger that spoke of the words of God(and Jerry was/is like ALL of us, a walking contradiction...)

Do you know why politicians lie through their teeth? John/Jane Q. Public cannot for the most part handle the truth...

If you didn't like what Jerry had to say(however he came across and "offended"), the message really comes from God, and as a whole, as a nation, looking in the mirror at what and who we REALLY are, is extremely difficult. Just like with real life, darkness hides things...coming out in the light reveals things also.

Your thoughts, please.

I could not possibly disagree more. Jerry Falwell preached the gospel of intolerance. Falwell was nothing but an ignorant hate monger.

It's never a good thing when someone dies and I feel for those close to Rev. Falwell, but it is my opnion that 90% of what he would speak of and what is taught in his "university" is just plain HATE SPEAK.

How do I know, just based on what you say here and all the crazy stuff that Falwell said, that what he was saying came from God? What proof do you have of that? It seems to me that his discrimination and support of bills and corrupt political candidates that took from the poor and gave to the rich is in complete contradiction to the teachings of Christ. You can throw around all the ambiguous religious fluff you like, but that doesn't make Falwell a messenger of God. It makes you another blind man lead by the blind.

Many times when the truth hurts people will lash out with hate. God punishes those who sin against him, Jerry was just a messenger

Jerry Falwell was one of the anointed prophets of the GOP(Gods Only Party). Typical of the all TV preachers who used the airwaves to raise millions of dollars. Praise the Lord and Pass the Loot. We accept checks and credit cards.

No one said he was God, but I did appreciate his moral majority stand years ago. I hope God raises up another to take his place soon.
