Probably you can (ask them) but your prospective employer might want to know why your doctor knows you so well (and then they might start questioning your health record?). Better to get a family friend who appears to have a job title with some "clout". eg. doctor, solicitor, bank manager etc etc.

A character witness is someone who can vouch for your character - are you a nice person, do you pay your bills on time, do you have any strange habits that would raise any suspicions, do you have an even temper? They don't actually ask questions this way but it is what they want to know. A good character witness would be your priest or pastor, a neighbor, any place you might have volunteered any time at, your local VFW, American Legion, or Elks Lodge president or member, a person who has given you rides to and from appointments. Just anyone who will have known you outside of a professional relationship. Your Dr may or may not do this as your relationship there was a professional one and not a personal one.
Best of luck and congratulations on getting back into the world!

I beleive it fairly is for somebody else, it provides the choose extra perception appropriate to the guy he's to sentance. each and every so often if a choose gets adequate letters approximately how super a guy or woman is and how they have been purely in a undesirable difficulty, he can pass outdoors of his regulations and shrink the sentance the state recommends. and likewise on the turn area, if a guy or woman has had a cost decreased by applying a plea good purchase, detrimental character letters will influence how the choose will sentance the guy in question, quite than getting the backside sentance they'd acquire the max. It purely provides the choose a extra suitable concept on how society perspectives the guy and quite or not they deserve of undertaking in society.

Hi Genna,
I would suggest a friend with some kind of standing who has known you for at least two years. It is better if they are professionally qualified, for example a friend who is a solicitor or councillor that you socialise with and not deal with on a professional basis unless you socialise as well, which is unlikely. An engineer with professional qualifications is OK.
Hope this helps

yes you can a doctor is an ideal professional person to do this.
You should see your doctor personally and explain that you have been out of work because doctors normally charge a fee for providing references.

Yes. A doctor is actually a good choice because he or she will generally be respected by a judge. You can also have family members, friends, pastors, priests, etc.
Good luck!
