In an ideal world, as individuals grow and increase in knowledge and experience, they generally decrease in meanness and selfishness.

In our world, they decrease in understanding any lack in others and kindness.

Good question, and a tough one to answer. Any answer wouldn't be all-inclusive. I would have to say compassion and humility. A lot of people let their knowledge and experience, " go to their head." Sorry about the pun ;-)
