I recently started shaving and I'm curious...are you supposed to shave just around the bikini line or the whole bikini area?

you can do either...it depends on your preference. just make sure to shave going with the hair to avoid bumps...and you might want to buy some bikini zone to prevent bumps as well. good luck.

start out by trimming really short and just shaving the line. you may decide you want to lose more of it. go little by little as you get comfortable with it. but i guarantee you, in no time, you will be completely smooth. hairless is better.

as you want!
gynecologists say that is healthy to shave the whole area, but that's just an opinion! try everything and decide what fits you the most according to your taste ;o)

its a matter of personal preference. some people just shave enough so that nothing shows in your bathing suit and some people go completely off with it...LOL....just go with what works for you.

i prefer the whole thing..or you cant do the the surrounding area with a trim in the main area...i just dont want any thing possibly showing or coming out so i do it all...
