When exactly did "hate" become a "family value?"?

Conservatives fondly proclaim family values (as long as they are their own values) yet all I've seen since Bush has been in office are insults, slurs and foaming at the mouth. a year or so ago the Reverend Falwell was debating on MSNBC when he lost it and started calling people in opposition to his viewpoints "idiots."

From my vantage point they appear to be a rather unsavory self serving bunch whose only agenda is to create an atmosphere stifling criticism so as to make it a[[ear as if everyone is one board their agenda of social engineering.

When does the statements one man makes represent an entire group? Also, yesterday on Air America, Rhandi Rhodes refered to those who believe George Bush are "morons" that is just as hateful as calling people idiots. There are people on both sides who say these things, it isn't represenative of everyone. Jerry Falwell is wrong for calling people "idiots" and Rhandi Rhodes is just as wrong for calling people "morons"

Well, it's difficult to see who you hate the most here,. is it Bush, conservatives, Falwell or just all of mankind that doesn't think your way.

Personally, I think everyone is a little quick on the hate button. You make some rather strong statements yourself but I am sure you are doing it out of love and not hate.

Typical point of view from the liberal left. From our point of view its the liberal Democrats who have been acting like infantile children with their name calling, lies, cheating, criminal activity, character assasinations, committee hearings, persecutions, prosecutions, slurs, insults and foaming at the mouth. Conservatives rarely consort to those activities because they are much more refined, well spoken, and mature. Conservatives do not get all bent out of shape when they don't get their way, or are not in control of everything. Its left wing Democrats who consistently support lower moral and social standards by supporting gays, criminals, abortion, and the elimination of religion from all walks of public life. Seems to me its the left wing liberal Democrats who have to look in the mirror to see what you describe, not conservatives. We know what is right for America, and society as a whole, not the democrats. Everything they stand for is wrong and destructive. Facts are facts.

Anger should not be confused with 'hate' anymore than being a Christian should so constantly be confused with 'representative of sainthood'.
Christians are sinners who know where to turn.
Don't hate them. Hate causes disease and death.

So... Conservatives are hateful because they don't agree with the Liberals' desire to kill the unborn and elderly, among other things. Liberals aren't hateful, unless they're talking about Conservatives. Something doesn't make sense there.

You have to realize there is hatred on both sides..,people especially here,wishing death on the President and his family,calling him Hitler etc.So we can quote hatred from both sides,bottom line is it needs to stop.We can disagree without the hatred.Thats called an intelligent debate but they no longer exist here on yahoo answers in the political forum.

I'm 53 years old now, and the republicans have been full of hate as long as I can remember.

The preacher's wife, when I was 5 years old, took the time to knock on everybody's doors, in the neighborhood, just to announce that if Kennedy was to become president the Pope would rule this nation.

Needless to say, she was a Catholic hating Protestant, just as jerry falwell was.

According to republicans it is OK to hate as long as they fatten up their pocket books.

hate is not a family value-you say he lost it=meaning he did the wrong thing calling others idiots-and I agree but that doesnt make his other issues wrong-as I say neither is condoning homosexuality or muslim terrorism. Romans 1 they worshiped the created rather than the creator in their unthankfulness and were man with man as with a woman rejecting salvation in Jesus. the other side in family values about standing up for truth-as a family even against Muslim extremist terrorists is=hopefully those that have determined to destroy all non muslims will not feel comfortable-and those trying to be free of these terrorists in those countries will be comfortable. thinking all the way back to before we got there and the Iraq mass destruction of its own people and its neighbors even as we prepared to go there to help?
to those in the bombings of the Golden Mosque and the Sunni and Shiite contined blowing up of each others mosques and pulling out each others muslim leaders and murdering them in the street? why not cartoons of Mohamed marrying a little 9 year old child at 40 years old-they show others on their way to prison that do such things!
Iraq has had weapons of mass destruction-they used poison gas on their own people-the Kurds in Iraq and slaughtered hundreds of thousands there and in their neighbor country where they burned their oil fields before we forced them to leave. there are only two destinies for mankind: eternal happiness or eternal misery. Those who die rejecting Christ receive eternal torment, with no second chance after death. In Salvation there is only one way=Jesus way! any other way added or subtracted is a false way.

even as you can see there is possibility of truth as given above in the secular world -in the spiritual world-the door of their minds was opened that God's word is right in Jesus -but Jesus said if you add to my word you will get plagues-Revelation 22nd chapter=the closing chapter to the word of God.
