well,u have at least (100billion times 100billion) number of stars like our Sun, in the universe, so I supposed there is a great possibility of another life form. It is just a matter of how far have we explored, we also already detected 100 extrasolar planets(planets that orbit other stars), so I'm quite optimistic about the possibility of it just that it might not be in our Solar System.

There are about 100 billion stars in our galaxy, there are about 125 billion galaxies in the universe.
BTW, we've found an earth like planet that's only 20 million light years away. That's relatively close in astronomical terms. As technology advances, we'll be able to find more.
Life is simply the result of self-replicating molecules gaining membranes. The molecules of life are found throughout space. I'd guess there are a few other lifeforms in the ever expanding universe.

I'd say it's almost a certainty that there are other life forms out there. The question is are they intelligent? If they are, do they have any interest at all in space travel? And if they do want to travel, will they want to make contact with other cultures? We also might want to wonder if they'd be friendly or unfriendly. After all, look what has happened to every native population on this planet when it came into contact with a more advanced people.

Sure why not. If the same conditions happened else ware in the universe. Life is very possible. Doesn't mean to say that life can't happen with other inviroments. I do think other forms of life are out there. Humans just can't go out far enough into space to find it.

With the billions of stars (suns) in not just our galaxy, but in the entire universe, it is very likely there are other living creatures out there.
The likelyhood that they would be anything like us would seem extremely remote, however.

The universe is so big that it is possible but we are so far from each other I doubt that we might ever communicate.
