Yes I have, twice and both times I loved it gave me a great boost of confidence! The ex saw it too and even commented that it looked good and was a right color for me........Hahahaha what a fool he was! My hair is a light brown boredering on some red tones. So I tend to keep it in the lighter shades of brown. You know something your hairdresser could tell you the shade she used on you....you could buy it yourself, and do it at home for alot less then what they charge! After awhile you get used to doing it and you become a pro in no time!

I use Herbal Essence now, but when I first started coloring, I always used the temporary color. (Washes out in 30 days) That way if you do mess up, it only lasts a little while. Once you become more confident, then switch to permanent color. Also, maybe have a friend help you the first time to make sure that you don't miss any spots. Be careful around the hairline not to get any color on your skin, it can stain and look horrible. Good luck!

Yes, all the time. It is really very easy.
Anything by Loreal is very conditioning. They have many different varieties in many different colors.
And it only cost $5 - 12 dollars.
Clairol & Revlon are great, too.
Both of these brands have a color specialist phone number to call for advice & what / how to do it correctly.
The clairol link below has a "try it on" studio online.

It depends on what color may look good on you. You can try it out on an avatar or something to get an idea. Ive had blond highlights (but a salon did those), Ive had light brown, red, and black. I have naturally dark brown hair and thats what color it is now because I havent dyed it in a long time. But red looked the best on me.

I've always done it myself. Had a few bad ones. I'm not sure if you have a Sally beauty supply where you live but they have some pretty good ones. I use the feria from there but they can help you pick a dye they won't help you pick a color though.

it depends on a couple of things; like your hair type and what color you are naturally versus what color you are trying to color it.
I would ALWAYS suggest using a color treatment that comes with a leave-in moisturizing conditioner though.
If you are a brunette and trying to go blonde or something drastic like that, you may consider just going to the salon for it.

I used to use Loreal Nice & Easy. I colored about once every 2 months. It's pretty easy, as long as your hair isn't too long. If you really want a really good quality, have a friend help with the roots.

Me either (afford the $75)! I use the Natural Match hair color and usually pick the warm shade (more golden highlights).

Go with a semi permanent one so that in case you don't like the results the color will fade pretty quickly. I color my own hair all the time.

i've done the bottle stuff at home, and i dont recomend buying something from your local grocery store or walmart.....sallys beauty supply you can buy better quality hair dyes when they wash out they tend to not turn orange, and fade as quickly....just make sure you get one with a Neutral base though...cause if you get Ash your hair may have a green tint, violet...enough said...so forth and so forth! :) And you dont have to have a license to buy the products at sallys :) good luck! :)
