We know their views on abortion and even on the BushWar for Oil in Iraq. They may mentioned the 'environment', but do any of them have any deep thought or feelings about ordinary working folks like the 99% of us who type in these posts? I'm sure I'll get posts about the 'liberals', but let's stay focused on the ten debaters at this point.

Ron Paul does. Did you even watch the debate last night?

In the first debate he addressed a question about taxes and he talked about helping the middle class by cutting inflation taxes.

Republicans have more of a clue than the Democrats on everything. How does raising taxes create jobs? What have the Democrats done for the working man? Raising the minium wage how does that helped the working man? Every time the minium wage is raised every thing goes up along with it. Plus the only thing that happens is minium wage earners are put in a higher tax bracket. What really is needed is to inact the fair tax plan. And do away with the current tax code. That would create more jobs than anything else.

The republican party is the party of the working man. Bush cut taxes for all working Americans, sure the rich got a bigger cut(they pay most of the taxes) but with Bush a working family of 4 making 36,000$ gross a year pays no federal income tax. Republican believe in school choice for all parents regardless of their income, democrates only want the rich to escape the failed urban schools ran by their supporters. Republicans fight against the taxes that most impact working class people( cigarette taxes, alcohol and beer taxes, gas taxes) democrates work to raise those so called sin taxes and then claim they only do it for our own good. Republican trust the individual and work to prove that belief (concealed carry laws for gun owners, protection of private property rights) democrats work against those issues. Like Most working Americans republican think America is a good country with good people, democrates see America as deeply flawed and in need of radical change. To some it up. Democrates see government as a tool to do favors for some at the expense of others, a big brother that imposes what it sees as best for the great unwashed. Why would any white, heterosexual married male with children who works for a living ever vote for them?

Name for me a democrat who's a "working class" person.

All democratic candidates are stinking rich aristocratic elitists too. I can't stand it when they try to take the moral high ground and say they're working for "the average American" and then they get on their private jets and fly home to their mansions where their servants wash their feet and change the channels for them

Stop acting like Democrats are populists. They're just as rich as Republicans and any attempt they make to appear pro-working-class is a complete and utter farce. They have no idea what it's like to be working class and they never will.

Define "working class", please. I work full time in a profession, so in that respect I'm of that class, I suppose. But, I'm not concerned with "deep thoughts or feelings" about my "ordinary" life. In other words, I don't want them to "feel my pain". Rather, I'm more concerned with leadership qualities and sound ideas and plans for this country as a whole.

Yes they do.

Not all the working class see the things the way you do for example "Bushwar of Oil".

'enviroment' that is good one when you have the democrats telling us to live one way while they live another.

Bush has a greener home than Gore so what matters most what a person says or does.

There is more than just one solution to the problem and it isn't always come from the democrats.

I am a Republican who works 50 hours a week and sometimes don't know if I'll make my rent payment on time. So,yes, I do know about the working class!

I thought out of the 10, Mitt Romney and Ron Paul had the best outing, pertaining to your question.

McCain beat himself up pretty good. He's done.

Notice that none of the FOX news questioners asked about this either. The answers other than that from Ron Paul would have sounded like crickets chirping. Best thing they have is Ron Paul..notice the polls as well...seems Americans want the man who is against the war as well...
