Studies show that liberal states tend to have lower divorce rates. Of the 10 states with the lowest divorce rates, 9 of them voted for Kerry. Interpreting the statistics, however, can lead to a number of different conclusions.
Liberal states tend to have higher incomes, higher educational levels and the residents tend to marry later, all of which contribute to lower divorce rates but they also have more couples living together. Also, agnostics and atheists have the lowest divorce rates, according to a study conducted by the Barna Research Group, a Christian evangelical group.

I would guess that the rate of infidelity and divorce is probably fairly equal between conservatives and liberals. There probably is no correlation between political views and likelihood to get divorce or be unfaithful to your spouse. I have not seen a real survey of this type has been done by anyone credible.

I don't know. But when doing a survey like that you would be relying on people to identify themselves as liberal or conservative. Those folks might actually be incorrect and what about all the moderates, where would they fall?

I don't know about survey results but those who say it is nothing to do with them about other people's marriages are very misguided.
All the evidence shows that kids from divorced parents have higher rates of crime, poverty and delinquency - and that effects all of us.
A society with a high rate of divorce and adultery is a society with problems.

divorce is at an alltime low,and has been attributed to fewer marriages...a LIBERAL concept. Also, a woman working in the family has shown to strengthen the family and result in fewer divorces. ALSO a liberal concept.
