Oh yeah! We have a great classic country station in Arkansas! I think you can listen live via the web at http://www.1067thewolf.com/main.html
I like it way better than the new country stations. I'm only 28, but my hubby says I was born a few decades too late as I can't really relate with the new stuff. My favorite are the songs from the 60's 70's and early 80's, like Crystal Gayle, Patsy Cline, Roger Miller, older Alabama songs, Barbara Mandrell, Conway Twitty, Bobby Bare, Charlie Pride and Charlie Rich... Oh I could go on all day. They sure dont make music like they used to!!!

You are one lucky person. I have to depend on Sirius or music I've downloaded. I do like some of the new pop country, but it's not the same as the old stuff I grew up with. I heard tulsa Time by Don williams on the radio here the other day and I about fell over. I don't think our local dj even knows who some of those guys are.

No, unfortunately we don't have one down here in South Georgia where I am. I have to get my fix from my old lp's, cd's, or Sirius. And that really sucks. I'm all about the old stuff and always have been. Give me some Merle Haggard, Charlie Rich, Waylon Jennings, Tammye Wynette........and I'm real good!!!

As far as I'm concerned, you can take all this new mess that the idiots have labeled "country", and throw it straight in the road ditch. Nothing but trash. Pure and simple.

I'll have to somewhat disagree with Carlos C about the 75% country radio stations in North Carolina. First of all, you didn't ask about country music radio stations but country stations that play classic country music only. We do have one in Morganton, NC that plays old classic country but it seems their collection is very limited and you hear the same songs over and over. I need you to email me about that John Wesley Ryles song. I can't seem to find it anywhere, lyrics or music. BY THE WAY THE RADIO STATION IS 1430 AM.

I'm from wayyyyyyyy up north. We don't get stations like that here. We have a country station but it plays just the newer music. I really enjoy the new country music, but my heart belongs to the old stuff. They simply don't make music like that anymore. I grew up on it, and it's so cool to hear my kids sing along to it now when I play it.

There's one station here in Chicago, and all I ever hear it play is the new stuff that sounds more like Pop than Country.

I live in the hills of southeastern Ohio and most of the time can pick up 95.5 the hawk from Columbus. They play some new stuff too but are mostly the older stuff.

I really envy you! No, there's no country radio stations that play classic country. The only time they play it is on late Sunday night. :-(
