In the North East, a Wasik is a mild insult, it means .... pest, nuisance, annoying brat of a little sister (I got it a lot from my sister for some reason)

Here's a thought.
If you're out of the area, you've just learnt a new insult and no-one will know what it means. But you have to say it with venom so that it sounds like .... wazzik (as in "Come here you little ......")
