Interesting I have never heard of such a law..where are you...are you telling me a city passed a law that states a private cemetary must give you ownership rights when a loved one is burried there? interesting or is it state owned? If it is state owned then you take your complaints to the city or state government that passed the law and remember once you own it you are responsible for its upkeep along with the other shareholders....that is the purpose of the law I believe....becareful.

Everywhere I have seen, a purchased plot is just that. You bought a space with no other rights. If you were a shareholder, you should pay property taxes and upkeep of the area.

Get a lawyer to enforce the law. He should file a complaint in court.
