People just want to sugar coat the torment. As much as I liked high school, I never really had any memorable moments.

Making friends...now they're all backstabbing sons of bitches.
Losing the virginity to the true love...he never spoke to me again, and he's now engaged to my best friend.

Life was DANDY in high school!

Sheet. Sorry to hear that Sami. Probably you're feeling it is not so great for one of four reasons:

-- you're not embracing links with people. The thing people miss most from school years is the social interaction with limited agendas (unlike the business world, where everything is about person interests/gain);

-- you're not feeling gratitude strongly enough. Huh? Gratitude ? for what? Well, how would you like it that some of the most successful people in the world attribute their success to a sense of gratitude combined with positive, goal based thinking. Start by getting up in the morning thanking the universe/God/ whatever for giving you another shot at life. Be grateful you can walk. Talk. See. Whatever.;

-- Someone or a group of people aren't giving you the respect you deserve. Firstly, unless they're physically abusing you, which is never on and should be reported, you need to move on from the frame of reference such that you need their approval. Find new friends, new interests. Absolutely get away from negative people;

-- Opposite Sex (or girls, if that's your thing). Can't really help you here. But again, I can assure you of the abundance in the world of everything except time. There are a tonne of guys out there. What are you doing to give yourself exposure to the kind of guys that you want to date? Whatever you do, don't put one guy up on a pedestal.

Hope this helps.

If high school is considered the best years of your life, then ya really must have done something wrong. Most people look back at HS with rose-colored glasses and remember it as **MUCH** better than it actually was, mostly because they didn't have the responsiblities then that they have now. The folks who say "oh, HS was the BEST!!" don't seem to have done much since then - take a listen to Bruce Springsteen's "Glory Days".

While HS wasn't exactly a living hell for me (thank god for my friends!), you couldn't pay me enough money to go through it again - even if I could do it all over again with what I know now. It sucked being a tall, pudgy, smart brunette who wore glasses in a short, skinny, dumb blonde school. Don't worry, once you get through high school, you won't see most of those people again unless you go to the reunion.

High school years should be the best years of your life. Unless you make it otherwise.
At this time in your life you are finally getting to experience some of what your life is going to be. More freedom, to be on your own more, dating, experiencing the world. Yet you still have the safety of going home at the end of the day. Not being totally responsible for yourself. You start driving a car, you go to football games, ect.
Perhaps your high school years are being a living hell because you see them as such. If you hate school, don't have many friends, don't want to do your homework or class work, and feel that you are being punished for some unknown reason, you probably do feel like you are in hell. Life is what you make it. If you enjoy misery, you are going to get misery. Look at your situation and ask yourself, Is my life hell, or do I think it is because I want it to be. Ask yourself if everyone else in your school is living in hell too. If they aren't, then maybe you have created your own .

I know exactly what you mean. The only thing that I can tell you is that someday you will be out of high school and in the "real world". Hold on tight to your dreams.
If it's too bad to endure maybe you could be home schooled or take your GED.
I hope things improve for you.

Because when you grow up you willfind out what hell really is.

To be honest the best time is when YOU make it the best time. Sitting around whining does no good. Find a hobby or something you enjoy life gets a lot better when you do.

How is it a living hell. It was fun and believe me when you get out of high school and have to wake up everyday for work and have to work weekends if needed and have to stay late if needed. You can't go out at night because you have work the next morning and you can't just "skip" tell your mom I'm sick. You have to pay all your bills so you work but don't really see the money. Believe me you got it nice.

Uh, no one I know considers high school the best years of their life. In fact, it was the ONE place I was happiest to finally get away from when my time came. For me, my last year of college, and the last couple years have been the best years of my life.

High school was trivial. It sucked. You shouldn't worry - it gets much better once you're done.

I didn't realize it was such a good time until I graduated. Now I miss it. If you're one of the people that just sat in the background and kept to yourself and made no attempt at all to enjoy it.. then yea you probably would think its a living hell.But really... its only as good as you make it for yourself.

Where is hell? It is inside ourselves. If high school is a hell for you... when you leave it you are only changing to another room of your hell. Try to purify your inside and the hell will be out of your life.
