I just can't imagine why anyone (But Corporations and millionaires) would even consider voting republican. From the illegal Iraq war (We weren't attacked by Iraq on 911) to the deregulation of the main polluting industries, one of which happens to be the oil industry, of which Bush is a major player, having a lot of stock in such companies as Exxon, Mobil, and BP Petrolium, to calling the Constitution "A Godd*mned piece of paper*, to giving huge tax breaks to corporations, but not the average worker, to stealing OUR rights one by one.

I don't know about you, but the way I feel is that OUR country was FOUNDED on that "piece of paper". My grandfather fought for that piece of paper, and it is that very same piece of paprer that helped make Our country what it was. It's high time that "WE, The People" took back our country from the fat cat corporations who have bought our "selected officials", and made it possible for the state of Florida to disinfranchise the black, and poor voters!!

The republican party has given the oil industry the right to pollute Our air without so much as even trying to clean up the garbage they pump out on a daily basis, and have even set up a plan to raise gas prices to $5.00 a gallon by the middle of summer so they can make even more profit, sucking this country dry for every penny they can get. They have even made it legal for corporations to buy our electrical plants, and shut down power plants during peak demands so they can justify raising electric prices as well. The California electrical shortage was caused by the CEO's of the electric companies. They ordered the shutting down of several electrical plants to jack up the price of electricity 4000%, driving many home owners and small businesses bankrupt in the process. They have even gone to countries like Brazil and Argentine and done the same thing there. when will people wake up and smell the coffee? Fight for what is right. Demand accountability. It's YOUR country.

I have to agree with you but my reasons lie more in the sacrifice of American soldiers and Iraqi innocents. This country sent people to war on the false pretenses of Bush. That is unthinkable. The damages done to this country will be felt for years to come. The terrorists made by his reckless actions will be a formidable foe for the USA to deal with in the future. Thanks Bush for making us the most hated country since Nazi Germany. How anybody can have voted for him and still sleep at night is beyond me. I cannot imagine anybody still supporting his egocentric bull. People are so concerned with singing Lee Greenwood songs and waving the flag that they have forgotten that those are only symbols for what this country was founded on. Those very foundations have been shaken by the Bush administration. He is a parasite and he needs impeachment.

The problem is the only other choice is the Democratic Party which is worse (I am neither). Both parties are corrupt and useless, and until Americans follow the advice of George Washington and vote by conscious not by affiliation (George was very much against organized political parties), we will continue to have this problem. We need a third party that takes the best of conservative and liberal and applies common sense. People too the far left and right want things their way only and until we put back common sense coupled with fiscal and social responsibility, we will continue to flounder.

PS- you may not agree with the war in Iraq, that is your right as an American. However it was sanctioned by Congress so it may be an ill planned war, but it is not illegal (before you say Bush lied everyone, Democrat and Republican, were on board with Iraq and WMD's so save that response). Read the Constitution and stop spewing back blogger stupidity. As far as taxes, the top 10% (the rich) pay 90% of the income taxes in this country, and your disenfranchize nonsense is more blogger stupidity, understand the Electoral College process and you'll understand

I find it very quirky that people still believe that the Republican and Democratic parties are so different.
It is simply semantics and how the Presidential Candidates present themselves to the people.
The excessive spending on Campaigns, special interest groups are the same for both parties.
What ever happened to WE ,THE PEOPLE.
Just once it would be nice for a President to admit that a decision they made was not the best decision.
Is it that hard to admit to making a bad choice?
Often times the decision are made with the knowledge they have at the time.
We are human and we make mistakes. What a great thing it would be if during a campaign if a Candidate admitted to a poor choice.

Better the devil you know, than the one you don't know. While the Republican Party is certainly not perfect, the Democrats are increasingly being taken over by the far Left. That is very scary.

You don't think "corporations and millionaires" are behind the Democrats as well as Republicans??? Come on, they'll suck up to whoever is in power, and the Dems will kowtow to them every bit as much as the GOP. You don't think all those big Democratic fundraisers are targeting McDonald's hamburger flippers, do you? Get real!

As to your last line, apparently you are still stuck on the 2000 election. I know you don't want reality to infringe on your little conspiracy, but there have been numerous recounts of the Florida votes...many by very Liberal agencies who would have loved to find that Gore won...but EVERY SINGLE RECOUNT showed Bush won. So get over it. No one likes a sore loser.

I will vote for the party that I think will do the best job.

Please read UN Resolution 687, that will give you some
insight to why we are in Iraq, also read the Iraq Liberation Act,
signed in to law by Bill Clinton. UN Resolution 687 states
that there were ties between Iraq and Al-Qaeda and the
ILA was in support of regime change (remove Saddam Hussein from power), both of these were because Iraq kicked out the UN inspectors that were trying to make sure that all
WMD's were destroyed.

Check the link below to see who else is in BIG OIL

Quit pissing an moaning about Al Gore losing the election
this has already been decided by the Supreme Court, which
I might add was predominantly LIBERAL, if we took all of
the registered democrats that were dead and still managed
to vote, Gore wouldn't have had half as many as he got.

EDIT:
Gee, I seem to have a new fan Mr. gunkinthebrain, thinks that
I said that Iraq attacked us, sorry dummy, I said that UN
Resolution stated their beliefs that there were ties to Al-Qaeda read the fricking resolution, you can not prove
me wrong. Post your links to prove me wrong, because
as far as I see, you the only one here PROVING anyone
WRONG AGAIN is me, showing everyone that you are
probably the dumbest person on the face of the earth
Once again, I ask you to PROVE me wrong

People refuse to admit that heir "team" is not performing properly.

However, note that there are some Republicans in the Senate and the House who are aligning themselves with much of the Democrats' agenda.

Also, note that the front-running Republicans, Giuliani and McCain, have more in common, policy-wise, with the moderate Democrats who are running, than their Conservative constituents.

Umpffff. I grok your frustration! I have the same. I fought for 'that piece of paper' and 'Old Glory' AND everything good in our country, but I am fed up. However, i won't ascribe all the problems to the Repug(ants)s because Dim (lights)s also contributed over the last few decades. It is two party politics, massive lobbying by special interest groups and corruption of politicians by partisan and compromise politicking that have harmed our country. We must have a strong third party develop and maybe more.
The decrease in size of our military for instance was definitely bi-partisan and harmful but was done due to compromise politics in an effort to decrease deficits. The deals with China that will haunt us for decades now and are getting worse were caused by compromise politics and foreign policy to enable a reduction in threat allowing a reduction in military size. It's all a vicious and negative cycle.
I WANT A DECENT CANDIDATE!
I will categorically NOT vote for Hillary and Obama is still too green (unripe). If he had 4 more years experience in the Senate I'd vote for him in a NY minute. One of them will be the Dims candidate, so I will vote for Rudy (hopefully) or maybe da DA, Thompson (hell, he looks tough and strong at least).

I am a Democrat, thus: The simple answer is "No".. However, I do not view all Republicans as evil.

The Republicans, undoubtedly, will be chastized for the actions of one of their own in office (Good ol' G.W.) So it almost irrelivent who wins the Democratic nod, they will be the next President of the United States.

Here is one man praying for a Gore/Obama ticket in 2008!

Yes, I'll vote Republican. This is still the greatest country
in the whole world, and Bush has not done anything to
diminish that. America has been in wars before and Bush
had nothing to do with them. Some people feel that
"freedom" is worth fighting for and that's why the US is
still great. I do believe in the Constitution as do almost
all Republicans (you'll always have a few dissenters).
Lastly, you Democrats just can't get over the fact that you
lost in Florida, can you? Democrats are the ones who
didn't want the military votes counted and they went to
jails to sign up prisioners to vote (most of whom are
Democrats - for your information). The votes were also
counted and recounted multiple times by both Dems and
Reps. So, it was legal........DEMOCRATS LOST. Get
over it.
