There is not one concept per se,but a heck loads of theories.
Here are a links to quite a few!

It substitute into Albert Einstein who stated that in case you run all over the area with speed double than that of sunshine then you definately would be waiting to fulfill your very own self after passing with the aid of the entire lifestyles span. This substitute into merely an mind's eye as one among those severe speed isn't very nearly achive in a position its merely an theory. nevertheless the scientists are attempting to theritically set up a achine which could genuinely give way with the aid of time. i'm hoping you're acquainted with the black hollow concept. If not, right here is what the scientists have faith, the gap and time are the two interrelated i.e they're interwoven into one yet another merely like a fishing internet. close to the black hollow this internet mingles interior of itself hnce coming up a evaluate which era and rely would not have any meaning. that is impossible to bypass even some mild years close to the black hollow yet while it have been a possibility for a guy or woman even to touch the boundary line of the black hollow the tiem tiem for that guy or woman might very nearly stop. In less complicated words if he might take quarter-hour to touch the boundary line and are available back the earth may be 5000 years forward from the time he left!!!!

OK, I 'll try to be clear : Enstein said that (t^2 = T^2/(1-C^2/V^2)) T = The reference 's time, C = the speed of the light = 3 * 10^5, and V = the speed of your object (Here is the time machine). Enstein said that moving on the spped of light is impossible, let's suppose that the speed of your machine is V = C - 1*10^(-100), The time of your machine is gone be "longer" than the time of your repere (here is the earth), so If you pass 1 year on your time machine, you 'll find that earth's folks passed about 1/(1-C^2/V^2) years. You have travelled through the time ! (there is one simple condition : you should move from 0 to V in a tiny time, wich is impossible).
This is the concept of the time machine, and that's why some scientist say that's impoosible to travel through the time, UNDERSTOOD ?
(If not, write me, and, don't forget selecting my answer as the best !)

As sush there is no time machine, but one way of possible time travel is through the Special Theory of Relativity. According to this theory, if the velocity of a body approaches the speed of light, then with respect to an inertial frame, the time of the moving body runs slower than the time of the inertial observer. Hence the person moving at the velocity of light ages slower as compared to the person at rest.

The concept of a time machine? or time travel?
If you're just wondering what a time machine is, it's the vehicle or pod which would be used to travel backwards or forwards in time.
Quantum physics for more time travel concept perhaps?

I don't believe that time travel will ever be possible. The future doesn't exist yet. The past no longer exists. How can you travel to a place that doesn't exist?
Jivesh, your example is not true time travel, you're just causing apparent time to slow down for an observer in one frame of reference as compared to another. They are not actually travelling backwards or forwards through time.

It is a machine that moves backward or forward in time. Usually by setting a dial. Had one in the garage before the Time Bandits stole it.

Before 1905 Newton defined time as continuous, but since 1905 with Einstein that view changed. Time isn't continuous, it's relative to the observer. The faster you travel the slower time will pass relative to someone who is stationary. But since time is relative to the observer, who is stationary and who is moving depends on who you are. So the only way to time travel is to travel at near light speed relative to another person who is stationary. Your time will pass more slowly than the stationary person (but their time, because of relativity) will seem to pass more slowly than yours. It's a paradox!!!

.well in theory if you could travel in time you would have to reverse or fast forward everything such as light sound etc but for example you travel back in time saved a life. history would change for ever

Well, it's a fine book by HG Wells. Other than that, it's not science.
