If someone does everything primarily left-handed, are they likely to play the guitar left-handed, too. I figure it would be difficult (an expensive) to buy a left-handed guitar and to not be able to learn as effectively.

Point is, are lefties likely to play left-handed, or do they mostly do right-handed?

Im left handed, and i play a left handed guitar, most left handed ppl play on left handed guitars, and when you play guitar you have to use your stronger hand and arm to play, the hand that you use the most which to me would be my left. But i just got a left handed guitar and it cost the same price as a right handed, it looks the same as a normal guitar but the strings are the other way around. Its just as easy to play left handed then right.

Left handed guitars aren't really that expensive. I got my Ibanez for $210.

It's all about what suits you. I felt more comfortable playing left handed, but there are some people who play right. It's kind of like baseball, you have to learn how to swing either left handed or right, and it's the same way with a guitar. Eventually you'll become comfortable with whichever way you choose

i'm a lefty and i played left handed, well i say played, i tried but i was crap. i think if you're primarily lefty then you'd probably be lefty for guitar. what way do you go if you imagine playing? go on, do some air guitar, no one's watching.

paul mccartney is a left handed guitarist.
he said that he couldn't play a regular guitar..because where you place your fingers for the cords are reversed for a right and left handed person.
because of his speaking out about it..left handed guitars became popular.
you can find them..they are not expensive.

Hendrix and McCartney initially played right handed guitars strung backwards.
